"Mabuhay Filippina!"
Dated 14th November 2009 I will be going to the land of coconuts and eternal sunshine-
The Philippines. I lived there in 2006 with some wonderful women and VSO team members. Mama Ely and Mama Beth are two nuns who were also my adoring host mothers. During my stay at their humble abode, I was never left parched of a mothers love. They demonstrated
courage during the hard times for food and essentials,
comfort when we had to wait for our next meal,
patience for when the hard times appeared too much to bare
and
unity for overcoming the burden of the above. I often thank god for this opportunity to cross paths with these amazing women. It is now my turn to demonstrate to them the
courage for when I resisted the urge to bypass their lessons, the
comfort which, contented me, the
patience because it has taken me a long time to demonstrate what I have reaped and finally the
unity which binds us together. Three years further down the line of life, we shall meet again.
